Individual

Individual therapy or counselling refers to a session with one client and one practitioner. Sessions with individuals are only about the client’s own issues and strive to help them better understand themselves, their problems, and how they react to them. This can assist them to manage themselves and their relationships in a more healthy way within their daily lives. Clients choose individual sessions for many reasons, such as

  • Career or Life Transition
  • Dealing with Grief or Loss
  • Managing Anxiety or Depression
  • Parenting Issues
  • Addictive or Destructive Behaviours, i.e. drinking, sexing, gambling
  • Working through Trauma

Individual sessions average about 45 to 60 minutes long. Clients can choose to work short or long term depending on the issue/s they wish to address and the level of change they desire to see in their lives.
